Newsletter #3: New shop, new games, and LAUNCH SALE
Hi all,
A pretty big update today, but one I’m really excited to give. I’ve set up my own shop to distribute physical editions of all my work. You can find it at Twelve Pins Press (here).
Please take advantage of my launch sale. I have 20% off absolutely EVERYTHING for my first week with the code LAUNCH20
What does this mean? Well, I’ve done this for a few reasons.
Physical copies can get cheaper! When I sell physical copies via itch.io, I have to charge quite a bit extra in order to include shipping to any country in the price, which means some people end up paying too much. Now, I can charge variable shipping rates, and people can pick up my stuff all at one time rather than paying shipping separately.
Shipping will be more efficient, as I don’t need to email everyone individually to find out their addresses when they order via itch. And sometimes I miss an email, which sucks. No more!
I can offer more of my products as physical versions without worrying that the administrative burden will get too big. As a result I have a…
New Physical Edition of the Witch Of the Westmoreland!
The Witch Of The Westmoreland is a tarot based Arthurian fantasy game I want more people to be able to see and play.
You play the companions of a wounded knight, trying to escort him through a mythical forest to the witch who can cure his wounds.
A beautiful new A4 version is available now on my new store here:
New imprint!
Opening a new shop obviously comes with a need for a little extra branding. I’m still Laurie, and I’m continuing to publish under my name first and foremost, but I’m going to be operating with a new imprint: Twelve Pins Press. You might have seen a few things change on my itch.io page already. The name of this newsletter will also likely change. So don’t be alarmed!
Don’t worry, I’m still writing…
The Hieronymus kickstarter funded, and it funded really well. I’m dead pleased with it, and it’s now in the layout phase. We hope to have it ready by the end of the year, so if you missed the kickstarter and you want to get in on it, please hop on the pledge manager here.
I’m working on a new Lancer adventure (a smaller one this time!) It’s a ticking-clock spacecrawl inspired by Mothership adventures, and novels like Revenger and Salvation. It’s coming to playtesting now, and depending on how much is left in my budget this year, it may drop later in the year, or be my Zinequest project in February,
And I’m working on a couple of long term projects, including Perilous Tales for Parentless Children. That one’s taking a while, because it’s my baby, and I want it to be perfect.
Finally, I’m coming to Dragonmeet!
Twelve Pins Press will be at Dragonmeet in London, so come say hi there, get your games signed if you haven’t already, and pick up some things at a good bargain.
See you next time, and don’t forget to make the most of our launch sale…
